|
The findings of various studies have presented that mental health problems in immigrants are serious and there are various barriers to access and use in mental health service for immigrants. Unlike other countries, mental health service for immigrants is not provided in Korea.This study is intended to suggest a direction of developing mental health service for immigrants. For this propose, we examined the situation by asking counseling service provider in agency for immigrants assistance of immigrnats mental health problems and management. We found that mental health problems of immigrnats are recognised serious, there should be multicultutral mental health service policy or plan, service connection, improvement of cultural competence and mental health literacy in service provider.
